Exhibitions by Local Artists

The Firefly Art Gallery is located on the main floor of the library east of the Circulation desk. Gallery space is available to professional artists and art organizations free of charge. The gallery is open for public viewing during all hours the library is open.

Depending on the size of the works, 25-50 pictures can be accommodated and materials typically remain on display for 2 months. All pictures must be framed with a wire hanger or saw-toothed hanger located on the back. Titles must also appear on the back of each work.

Exhibitions can be hung by the artist or by the Library Staff Artist.

While prices are not displayed to the public on the picture IDs, an inventory list with pricing information is kept at the Circulation Desk for any inquiries.

A signed "Hold Harmless" agreement, inventory, personal ID cards and biographical information must be provided by the artist.

The Firefly Gallery is currently booked through 2013. To arrange for an exhibit or for additional information, contact Barbara Klausmeier at 414-471-8484  ext. 5710.
