Each year, the Wauwatosa Public Library Foundation holds a Leadership Luncheon to honor area high school students and an adult whose leadership has had a positive impact on our community. A well-known author presents the keynote address.

Featured Speaker: Susan Cain, NY Times Bestselling Author
Susan Cain is the co-founder of Quiet Revolution and the author for the bestsellers: Quiet Power: The Secret Strengths of Introverted Kids and Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking, which has been translated into 40 languages. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal and many other publications. She received Harvard Law School’s Celebration Award for Thought Leadership and was named one of the world’s top 50 Leadership and Management Experts by Inc. Magazine.
In addition to her literary accomplishments, Cain’s TED Talk The Power of Introverts has been watched a record-smashing 17 million times.
Arthur B. Kohasky Leadership Award: Chris Leffler
Recognizing: Chris Leffler, the owner of several businesses, including Leff’s Lucky Town in Wauwatosa, Revere’s Wells Street Tavern in Delafield, a soon-to-be open restaurant in Menomonee Falls and Locker’s Florists.
He has been a leader in the community through his work with the Business Improvement District, St. Jude’s School and the Rotary Club. He also played an instrumental role in the creation of the band shell at Hart Park and the Tosa Tonight Concert Series.
