The Wauwatosa Public Library has a wide range of materials in various formats to serve patrons’ research, educational and recreational needs, including the databases listed below. Other resources are available through Wisconsin’s online library, Badgerlink.
The Library also maintains a directory of staff recommended Web sites across a wide variety of subject matter.

Databases By Subject
The Gale courses are six-week online interactive courses for personal enrichment and professional development. Courses include a variety of topics such as genealogy basics, computer skills for the workplace and sign language, to name a few. The courses are instructor-led and sessions begin every month.

Tutor.com provides free academic and career resources and tutoring for students and adults. K-12 and college students can get help with homework, studying, projects, essay writing and test prep in every subject, including algebra, statistics, chemistry, physics, social studies and English. Adults can get assistance with resume writing, GED prep and academic support. All tutoring sessions are online and one-to-one with a live tutor.

There is also instruction for English-as-a-second-language learners.
OED Online, the online version of the Oxford English Dictionary, is widely regarded as the accepted authority on the English language. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history and pronunciation of 600,000 words, past and present-from across the English-speaking world.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel online provides full-text articles from 1990 to present on local news, issues, events, people and much more from current and archived issues of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Updated daily, it includes obituaries, editorials, announcements, sports, real estate and other sections of the paper.
The library no longer owns the electronic version of the NY Times.
The Wauwatosa Organizations Directory is compiled by the Wauwatosa Library and is updated annually. Directory entries included the organization name, contact information, description, meeting information and a link to the website.
